Main facade of the Dole Manor house with decorative conifers in the foreground
The image shows the main facade of the Dole Manor house in its full length, demonstrating the asymmetrical and eclectic building volume. The long single-story wing with a regular row of rectangular windows and a small decorative pediment in the center dominates on the left side, while a two-story volume with a tall quadrangular tower rises on the right side. At the junction of both volumes is the main entrance with a wooden porch and a small stoop.
In the lawn in the foreground of the building, decorative plantings are established, where several slender, green thujas or similar conifers and a low, spreading cluster of juniper or other shrub plantings stand out. To the right of the entrance, a small, solitary deciduous tree is visible, while a strip of low shrubs runs along the very foundation wall of the building on the left. On the right edge in the distance behind the manor, the red tiled roof ridge of another building can be seen.
The sky above the manor is light blue, covered with thin, scattered cirrus clouds, creating soft and even daylight. The light evenly illuminates the entire yellow brick facade, clearly highlighting the white decorative elements and crenellations under the cornices.
