The bas-relief shows a tall, bearded male figure in a long, belted robe standing beneath the spreading crown of an oak tree. In one hand he holds a tall wooden staff, while his other hand reaches toward a stone slab on his right.

At his feet on the left, a small carved object resembles a burning torch or candle, while on the right stands a rounded stone bearing an inscription – individual letters and numerals are partly legible, including a sequence of digits resembling a date.

The whole composition is framed on all sides by carved oak branches and leaves, giving the scene a solemn, ritual character. This relief is part of a larger monument in Marijampolė and depicts symbolism from an earlier, pre-literate age.
