Ancient hollow tree hive as a nature exhibit in the manor park of the Daugava Museum
In the open-air territory and manor park of the Daugava Museum, a historical beekeeping exhibit is located — an ancient hollow tree hive, known as a "dore". This massive, robust tree trunk with a textured, rugged bark is positioned vertically in the middle of a meadow on a small metal leg support. The top of the trunk is covered and protected from precipitation by a small, round wooden roof with a pointed peak in the center.
The exhibit is surrounded by a wide, green lawn, illuminated by the light filtering through the foliage in the spring sun. In the depth of the park, behind the hollow tree hive, a bright forest landscape stretches out with many slender deciduous trees, whose branches are covered with fresh, light green leaves. In some places on the lawn beneath the trees, bluish carpets of wild flowers are visible, complementing the spring-like atmosphere of nature.
In the far background, a smooth and well-kept lawn can be seen, along with some bright reddish-blooming bushes that stand out among the green tree trunks. In the distance on the right side, the corner of a light-colored structure is visible. The entire landscape is peaceful and sun-drenched, harmoniously combining the beauty of the nature park with the historical heritage.
