The Poetry of Stone in Klaipėda
This elegant grey granite sculpture, depicting a sitting, introspective girl resting on a rough stone boulder, is a striking example of Lithuanian late modernism. Located in the Klaipėda Sculpture Park, it forms part of a unique open-air museum established between 1977 and 1991. The artwork features fluid, gentle contours that contrast beautifully with the rugged base, symbolizing femininity, serenity, and a connection with nature. Created during the city's historic summer sculpture symposia, the monument has been fitted with a modern QR code following recent park renovations, allowing visitors to scan and listen to its dedicated audio story.
