The foreground of this coastal scene features a prominent sand dune mound covered in green marram grass and low-lying coastal vegetation. On the right side of the frame, a dense cluster of lush green bushes spreads upward, covering a large portion of the dune's slope.

In the distance, beyond the grassy dunes and wide sandy clearings, the straight concrete line of the South Pier stretches far out into the Baltic Sea. Small structures, which appear to be navigation markers or small light towers, can be discerned along the length of the pier.

The seawater is calm with a bluish-gray hue, reflecting the changing sky above. The sky is filled with a mixture of scattered white and grayish cumulus clouds, interspersed with patches of clear blue.
