Historical Building in the Heart of Liepāja
Located in the historical center of Liepāja, at 24 Friča Brīvzemnieka Street, stands a notable example of late 19th / early 20th-century urban architecture, vividly embodying the city's characteristic symbiosis of wood and masonry.
The visual identity of the building is defined by two contrasting elements. Its long street-facing facade is clad in wooden planks, preserving classical Eclecticism-style decorative details and window trims that speak to the elegance of a bygone era. In stark contrast, the massive brick firewall (brandmūris) on the side is built of red clay bricks and partially plastered, serving both as a practical fire safety barrier and a raw, aesthetic accent in the modern urban landscape.
