Daugava Museum exhibition on river history and fishing
Exhibits related to the history of the river and fishing are displayed in the exhibition hall of the Daugava Museum. In the right corner of the room, a thematic installation with wooden cladding has been created, resembling the wall and roof section of an ancient building. A wooden boat with a child sitting inside is located in this area, and fishing gear, including large fishing nets and other equipment, is arranged around the boat. Two small, white wooden step stools are placed near the wall on the right side.
Large-format historical photographs showing wooden boats and river views are attached to the light-colored walls on the left side of the room. Several quadrangular, light-padded seats or poufs are placed in a row along the left wall for the convenience of visitors. In the center of the room, there is a large, dark wooden information stand with a slanted surface and built-in screens or illuminated materials, on top of which lies a coiled rope.
The floor of the hall is smooth and in a light yellowish or brown tone. The ceiling is white and features built-in light fixtures as well as a longitudinal track lighting system with small spotlights directed at the exhibition objects. Additional information panels and a small screen are visible on the walls in the background, complementing the content of the exhibition.
