Mārtiņš Līnis Sculpture on the Pāvilosta Promenade

The sculpture was installed and unveiled in the early spring of 2020, coinciding with the official opening of the newly reconstructed and modernized Pāvilosta port promenade. It was designed as the visual centerpiece of the new pedestrian waterfront project. The author and sculptor of this contemporary environmental landmark is Mārtiņš Līnis.

The monument is a modern outdoor sculpture styled to complement the surrounding marine engineering infrastructure along the bank of the Saka River. It features an engraved poetic text authored by Anna Kaže, a local teacher from the Pāvilosta elementary school. The inscription's creative inspiration was directly derived from the lyrics of the official anthem of Pāvilosta.

The sculpture functions as the primary artistic focus and tourist landmark of the Pāvilosta harbor promenade. Located in a landscaped public zone adjacent to the local marina and the Pāvilosta Local History Museum, it serves as a prominent photo spot and a gathering point for visitors taking leisure walks to view the docked boats and the river estuary.
