Sculpture
Evening landscape
The metal and concrete sculpture created by Mārtiņš Līnis is positioned on a small bed of pebbles, separated from the pedestrian area by dark wooden stakes. The two parts of the sculpture form a unified composition, and an engraved text spanning several rows is clearly visible on one of the bases. To the right of the sculpture, a portion of a wooden flower box can be seen.
Behind the sculpture, a view opens up to the Pāvilosta port waters and the yacht marina. Various yachts and small watercraft with white hulls and tall masts are moored in the water, and a white car is parked near the shore area.
A green belt of trees and bushes lines the opposite bank of the river, behind which industrial or port buildings and structures are located, including a tall lattice tower. The sky above the landscape is covered with dark, blue-gray clouds, but a narrow, illuminated pink and light blue band from the recently set sun is visible at the horizon.
