Tālivaldis Deksnis Musical Bench in Aizpute
This environmental art object is located at 8 Atmodas Street in Aizpute and is dedicated to the prominent Latvian organist and music pedagogue Tālivaldis Deksnis (1946–2018). The bench is situated along the historic path leading toward the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Aizpute.
Created as part of the "Environmental Stories of Aizpute" project, the installation was designed by artist Ainars Alžāns. The wooden bench features a commemorative engraving on the backrest and is framed by three gothic-style metal arches with integrated lighting. Visitors sitting on the bench can listen to recorded organ music performed by the maestro. In the background on the right, the "Flower Narrow-Gauge Train" installation by Ģirts Brumsons is also visible.
