The photograph shows a woodland path with wooden and dirt steps leading down through a pine forest along the Žagare esker educational trail. Scots pines (Pinus sylvestris) and young deciduous trees line both sides of the trail.

A dense layer of bright green grass and wild understory plants covers the forest floor adjacent to the path. Sunlight and tree canopy shadows create a dappled pattern on the trail surface and surrounding lawn.
