In an autumn landscape, a light gravel road runs alongside the edge of a woodland, leading the eye into the distance. An open meadow stretches along one side, while tall conifers and deciduous trees grow on the other, their foliage showing seasonal changes in colour.

The prominent larches have greenish-yellow branches that contrast with the clear blue sky. Farther away, birches with pale trunks and other trees form a varied woodland edge.
