Pavilosta pier and the mouth of Saka River at sunset
The image captures the confluence of the Saka River and the sea in Pāvilosta, where a pier constructed from large stones and concrete slabs extends on the right side. On the further section of the pier, the silhouettes of a few people watching the view can be discerned, and a small lighthouse beacon stands at the very end. Individual tufts of grass grow near the water on the left edge of the pier.
On the left side, the opposite bank with concrete reinforcements is visible, topped by a line of trees and small bushes. On this side, the sun is setting near the horizon, illuminating the lower part of the clouds in bright orange and pink tones and casting a golden reflection on the rippling water surface.
The sky above the sea and river is transitional—above the sunset area, it is bright and fiery, while darker, bluish-gray cloud layers hang over the open sea on the right side. The landscape depicts the transition from the river's flow to the open sea.
