Iced stone with icicles on the Mērsrags seaside
On the Mersrags coast, a large, massive stone is visible, completely covered in a thick and irregularly shaped layer of ice. The ice formation resembles a frozen waterfall, with countless icicles of various lengths stretching down the sides of the stone. The color of the ice varies from pure white to a slightly greenish and yellowish translucency, reflecting the natural composition of the water and the gradual freezing process.
The surrounding landscape consists of a shallow, partially frozen seashore where other smaller stones peek through the ice. In the background, a dark strip of pine forest is visible, bordering the beach from the horizon. The sky is overcast and misty, creating muted and cool winter daylight that emphasizes the texture and relief of the ice.
In the distance, along the shoreline, more iced stones and ice piles formed by waves and frost can be seen. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and untouched, characteristic of the Baltic Sea coast during the winter period, when changing weather conditions create unique natural sculptures.
