The honor chair in Rembate Park is a contemporary environmental design object with smooth, flowing forms. It is created as a functional bench with a high backrest, organically integrated into a paved park area covered with fallen autumn leaves.
Decorative patterns are clearly visible on the surface of the bench, reminiscent of traditional Latvian motifs, especially those of the Lielvārde belt. These graphic elements give the object symbolic meaning and connect modern design with folk art heritage.
The surrounding environment is a calm park landscape with deciduous trees in autumn colors, low shrubs, and open lawns. The object serves both as a place for rest and as a commemorative installation dedicated to folk art masters Arveds and Vera Paegle.
