A light gravel road follows the edge of a woodland and gradually disappears around a bend. An open grassy area lies on one side, while tall larches and other trees grow along the opposite side, their branches extending over the roadside.

The larches are covered in fine greenish-yellow needles that take on a golden hue in the autumn sunlight. Their crowns fill the right side of the scene, while the left opens onto a broad expanse of clear blue sky.
