Support the redzet.lv project

The Mūša Tyrelis Educational Trail (Mūšos Tyrelio pažintinis takas) is located in Northern Lithuania, within the Joniškis district and the Žagarė Regional Park. It winds through the ecologically significant Mūša Tyrelis Telmatological Reserve, protected under the NATURA 2000 network. Opened in 2015, the trail is officially listed in the Lithuanian Book of Records as the longest swamp boardwalk in the country.

The route showcases an untouched natural complex consisting of raised bogs, transitional mires, fens, peatlands, wet forests, and the headwaters of the Mūša and Juodupis rivers. Key highlights along the trail include Lake Miknaičiai, an observation tower, the restored chapel of Father Stanislovas, the Tyrelis stone with engraved pagan symbols, and a historical partisan camp site. The area features open independent access 24/7 with free admission.
