This musical bench is dedicated to the prominent Latvian organist and music pedagogue Tālivaldis Deksnis (1946–2018), who was born in Aizpute. Installed in August 2026, the bench is located at 8 Atmodas Street, along the historic path leading toward the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Aizpute.
The urban art installation was created as part of the project "Environmental Stories of Aizpute" ("Aizputes vides stāsti"). Designed and crafted by artist Ainars Alžāns, the wooden bench features three integrated gothic-style metal arches equipped with built-in lighting. Visitors can sit on the bench and listen to musical recordings performed by the renowned organist.
In the background on the right, the environmental art object "Flower Narrow-Gauge Train" ("Ziedu mazbānītis") by artist Ģirts Brumsons is visible, paying homage to the historic Aizpute–Liepāja narrow-gauge railway line.
