History
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marijampolė, Lithuania, was built between 1835 and 1841. Shortly after its completion, a parish school was opened, and a church tower was added. The church was closed at the beginning of World War II. During the Soviet era, the property was nationalized and converted first into a grain storehouse and later into a sports hall with a swimming pool attached. The building was officially returned to the Lutheran parish in 1992.
Architecture
The building reflects the mid-19th-century architectural style with elements of Neoclassicism and early Neo-Gothic influences. It is a rectangular stone structure featuring a prominent front bell tower and a bright, minimalist interior typical of traditional Lutheran sacred spaces.
Current Function
Today, the church serves its original religious purpose, holding regular worship services and community gatherings for the Marijampolė Evangelical Lutheran Parish.

The conversion of the main sanctuary into a public swimming pool during the Soviet period is considered one of the most unusual examples of secular repurposing of a church in the region.
