Support the redzet.lv project

Cesvaine Lutheran Church was built in 1879 according to the project of Liepaja city architect Paul Max Berci. The church is built in the Gothic style from broken boulders. It is the largest rural Lutheran church in Latvia with 2,500 seats. The church was restored in 1929 and again in the early 1990s.  The altar painting, “Christ on the Cross” (1923) is by Jēkabs Bīne.
