Concrete wall and boulder pile of the Pavilosta south pier

The foreground and center of the image are dominated by a large quantity of boulders of various sizes and shapes, densely piled along the base of the Pavilosta south pier. The stones feature distinct hues ranging from grey to pinkish and brownish tones, with some appearing wet. On the right side, a high, smooth concrete seawall runs parallel to the stone pile, forming the main structure of the pier.

On the left side, the calm sea surface is visible with small ripples washing against the outer stones. In the distance, the pier extends further out, where a green navigation marker can be discerned on the left and the top of a red beacon on the right behind the concrete structure. Several birds are perched on the edge of the pier in the background.

The sky above the sea and the pier is partially covered with stratified clouds, through which soft, diffused light breaks. The overall landscape feels serene and monumental, focusing on the massive engineering structures and natural stone piles used for coastal protection.
