Concrete coastal reinforcements and Užava lighthouse in winter landscape
On the sun-drenched coast of Užava in winter, massive concrete coastal reinforcements are positioned along the base of the bluff. These geometric blocks are partially covered with snow and ice, creating a stark contrast with the natural environment. In the background, atop a rise, the historic Uzava lighthouse stands among lush pines, its white tower striking against the clear blue sky.
The shoreline is covered with a layer of frozen snow and ice, forming small ice ridges right at the water's edge. The pine forest covering the dune is green and snowy, providing a vertical frame for the entire composition. In the distance along the sea, two small figures of walkers can be seen, emphasizing the grand scale of nature and engineering works.
The clear sky and low northern sun create expressive shadows between the concrete blocks and tree trunks. The air appears transparent and cold, characterizing the serenity of the Baltic Sea coast during the winter season. This location, where the sea, forest, and man-made protective elements meet, is a typical landscape of the Uzava seaside.
