The image presents a closer view of the environmental object "Pretī gaismai" in Ēdole. The focus is on the upper section of the sculpture, which features stacked artistic books and an open bronze book resting on a grey granite pillar.

The pages of the open book clearly display the portrait and the engraved Latvian inscription. The installation is set on a grassy ground with a gravel base visible at the front.
