The image depicts a view of the green slope of the Aizpute castle mound, topped by large trees with yellowing and orange autumn leaves. Through the tree branches at the top of the hill, historical stone masonry fragments and a corner of the castle ruins are visible.

At the base of the slope along the asphalt road, a brown tourism sign reading "Livonijas ordeņa pilsdrupas", a blue directional traffic sign, and other road signs are installed. A green waste container rests on the grass near the signposts.
