Vaclovas Intas Stone Museum and Park

Vaclovas Intas Stone Museum and Park is one of the most unique open-air museums in Lithuania, located in the small town of Mosėdis in the Samogitia region. Dedicated to stones as natural, cultural, and artistic objects, the museum has become a distinctive landmark not only of the town but of the entire region.

The museum was founded in the second half of the 20th century by physician and enthusiast Vaclovas Intas, who began collecting glacial boulders removed from Lithuanian fields. His long-term effort aimed to preserve these stones from destruction, gradually transforming a personal collection into an expansive park set within the natural landscape of the Bartuva River valley.

Today, the museum combines geology, history, and contemporary art.
