Žagarė Esker Educational Trail (Žagarės ozo pažintinis takas)

The Žagarė Esker Educational Trail is located in the Žagarė Regional Park in Lithuania, near the Latvian border. This 3.6-kilometer circular route traverses a unique geological formation—an esker ridge shaped by glacial meltwaters.

The trail loops around the scenic Lake Žvelgaičiai and runs parallel to the Švėtė (Svēte) River. Equipped with wooden boardwalks, bridges, and stairs, the path is well-suited for navigating the undulating terrain. Key highlights along the trail include the historic Žvelgaičiai hillfort, a small wooden observation tower, an amphitheater-like viewing platform featuring a distinctive "spider web" design, and the Island of Love accessible via a pontoon bridge. The route is fully developed with designated picnic and rest areas.
