Ylakiai Baptist Church

Ylakiai Baptist Church (Lithuanian: Ylakių baptistų bažnyčia) is a Baptist prayer house in Ilaiiki village, Skoda district, Lithuania. There is a choir, a Sunday school and a youth group at the church. Church services are held on the first and third Sundays of each month in Latvian with a translation into Lithuanian and on the last Sunday in Lithuanian.

History
The Baptist congregation in Ylakiai  was founded in 1905. It consisted mainly of Latvians and now the Baptist Church is often referred to as the ‘’Latvian Church’’. The current building was built in 1931 from red bricks (according to other data, around 1932/1933). During the Soviet times, the church was painted white. In 1999, with the help of foreign Baptist communities, the interior of the church was renovated: electrical heating was added, new floors were installed.
