Ventspils Marina

PORT ENTRY: The port of Ventspils can be identified from a considerable distance by its church with a tall spire, located in the town centre on the S side of the river. Currents in the river average 1 knot, increasing to 2 knots near the entrance. The current sets N or S along the coast in the port entrance, depending on the wind. The NW approach channel leads SE from Lighted Buoy B (57°28’.52N, 21°25’.91E) to the Ventspils Outer Harbour protected by two, N and S, breakwaters. Entering the harbour turn into the Fishing Harbour and Marina – it is located on the S (left) side of the River Venta. Ventspils Marina offers 110m mooring length of pier at a depth of 3.5m. Tides are negligible, but the water level fluctuates with wind conditions and may differ by 0.3m above or below the mean.

• 210m long and 6.5m deep deep-water berth;
• Yard with the total area of 10,200m2;
• Warehouse premises with the total area of 5,124m2.

Objects are located in a guarded territory with asphalted roads and access roads.

ABOUT US
The main activity of SIA “New Yacht Marina” is the provision of yacht port services within the territory of the Ventspils Yacht Port (Ventspils Marina) and the rent of ship berths.

The yacht port is able to provide a full range of services during the summer season and berthing places for at least 50 yachts and motorboats. The port administration purchased the modern “Roodberg” mobile crane that can lift yachts of up to 35 tonnes. The Ventspils Yacht Port accepts yachts for storage during the winter and maintenance.
SIA “New Yacht Marina” owns 2 berths with a total length of 478 m, which are leased for the independent placement of fishing vessels and other sea vessels.

The harbour master Linards Volks is available for customers by phone +371 26518421, and harbour personnel is on duty round the clock (24h).

SIA “New Yacht Marina” is a member of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce (AHK).

With the support of the EST LAT 55 project “Improvement of Sailing Infrastructure and Yacht Harbour Network Building in Estonia and Latvia” in 2019, the project “Ventspils Yacht Harbour Reconstruction and Territory Improvement” will be completed and ensure high-quality services for port visitors.
