Sculpture "Kaktusai ir debesys" ("Cacti and Clouds")

The sculpture stands in Klaipėda, in Danė Square, near the city's musical fountain. It is a stone composition titled "Kaktusai ir debesys" ("Cacti and Clouds"), created by the Mexican sculptor Federico Silva (1923–2022).

Federico Silva was one of the leading Mexican sculptors of the second half of the 20th century, known for monumental abstract stone works drawing on geometric forms and pre-Columbian influences. His sculptures can be found in several countries around the world, including Mexico (notably the Sculptural Space at UNAM in Mexico City), Spain, Japan and elsewhere.
