SCC Zemgale

SCC "Zemgale" is located in a beautiful place 1.5 km from the center of Ozolnieki parish and 6 km from Jelgava. The house for the elderly started his work in 1975 April 1, but in 1998 it became social care center “Zemgale”, which brought major changes to the quality of life of older people and people with disabilities.

Persons who have reached retirement age, as well as disabled persons in Group I and II, who need day-to-day social care and social rehabilitation, are admitted to the Center.

We provide the following social services:

• we provide the client with a living space equipped with appliances and equipment necessary for everyday life;
• we provide rational catering, taking into account the age and health of our clients;
• supplying customers with free orthopedic articles, wheelchairs and other technical aids, in accordance with the procedures specified in regulatory enactments;
• provide emergency medical assistance to the client, registration with a family doctor and appropriate health care for the client;
• provide assistance to the client in solving individual social problems and, if necessary, organize legal assistance;
• we perform social rehabilitation measures according to the physical and mental condition of our clients;
• organizing cultural and recreational events;
• at the request of the clients, we arrange spiritual care according to each religious affiliation;
• we keep in touch with our clients’ relatives.
