Project 1836 - Aplido, apceļo, apmīļo Latviju

The project "1836 - Aplido, apceļo, apmīļo Latviju" ("1836 - Fly around, tour, caress Latvia") is a gift to Latvia in a centenary. The project was launched in 2014.

The aim of the project was to create a united 1836 km long tourist route around Latvia. We got to know and discover the cultural and historical values of Latvia, created a travel infrastructure with accommodation, entertainment and recreation sites, thus promoting the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of people, and strengthening unity among the citizens, as well as creating a description of touring the Latvian outline, marking the road and giving practical recommendations about it.
