Līgatne fish path

During spawning, salmonids migrate en masse to a spawning environment in the river. In many places, their barrier is cages and locks, which used to be built for electricity and are now neglected.

Therefore, the fish path in the Līgatne River has been restored, which will help sea trout, salmon, trout trout and perch to get over the locks of Anfabrika. A fish pass was built there seven years ago, but it could not last long and needed to be rebuilt.

The total length of the fish path is about 200 meters. It is divided into several obstacles, forming pools. The time in which the fish conquer this path varies from seven minutes to three hours.
