Church of All Russian Saints in Klaipėda

The Church of All Russian Saints (Klaipėdos visų Rusijos Šventųjų cerkvė) is an Orthodox church in Lithuania, notable for its architectural style which is atypical for traditional Eastern Orthodox houses of worship. The red klinker brick building, featuring a steep gable roof and a front colonnade, was originally constructed between 1938 and 1939 to serve as a chapel for the Memel (now Klaipėda) city cemetery, blending interwar modernism with Neo-Gothic elements.

Following World War II and shifts in the city's demographics, the building was transferred to the local Orthodox community in 1947. To adapt the chapel for Orthodox liturgy, its original Neo-Gothic spire was replaced with a traditional gilded onion-shaped dome and cross. The interior houses a historical, gilded iconostasis that was brought from a closed Orthodox church in Liepāja, Latvia. Between 1952 and 1990, the building was also shared with the Lutheran community of Klaipėda, who held their services here in the afternoons. Today, the church stands adjacent to the Klaipėda Sculpture Park and is protected as part of Lithuania's cultural heritage registry.
