Bronze Sculpture

A bronze sculpture is a three-dimensional artwork cast from bronze, an alloy primarily composed of copper and tin. It is one of the most popular mediums in sculpture due to its durability, tensile strength, and ability to capture intricate details. Most bronze sculptures are created using the lost-wax casting technique (cire perdue). Over time, the surface of the bronze reacts with oxygen and moisture to form a protective coating called a patina, which enhances the artwork's unique coloration and aesthetic appeal.
