(Typhaceae) Cattail Family

The Cattail family nowadays has 2 genera, having been joined by genus Spaganium which was earlier classified in a family of its own. These 2 genera contain around 70 species across the world and a dozen in Finland. They are all monocotyledons which thrive in damp and wet conditions.
